When you or your loved ones were receiving care at CMHA, did you think there were things we could have done better or differently? Do you have ideas about how to make sure every client and family member gets the very best care possible at CMHA? Our Client and Family Advisors are partners to help improve the quality, safety, and relevance of care we provide. If this volunteer role sounds like something you would enjoy, please consider joining us as an Advisor.
Every event held in support of our agency increases awareness and helps to end stigma and break the silence surrounding mental illness. Each event also has the potential to generate much-needed funds to support innovative new programs such as MOBYSS, our mobile health clinic for youth.
Our biggest fundraiser and awareness event of the year! Volunteer, register to ride, donate, spread the word, or all of the above – there are endless ways to get involved with this annual event.
Our Speakers’ Bureau consists of experienced public speakers who are passionate about raising awareness of mental illness. Our speakers enlighten and educate by sharing their personal stories and how they overcame barriers through a dynamic recovery process.
We’re trying out something new for those who live on the internet more than others. We’re looking for people who love the sound of a keyboard as they vigorously type out their thoughts, stories, opinions, concerns, and successes. Whether you have one article you’re itching to share or looking for a more continuous opportunity to share your words, this could be just for you.
By supporting the Canadian Mental Health Association you can help break the debilitating stigma associated with mental illness, encourage people to get help before problems become crisis, and empower individuals to maintain good mental health in their own lives.
