23 Dec CMHA York and South Simcoe Board Member receives Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award
Evelyn Sutherland, a member of the Board of Directors for Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) York and South Simcoe Branch, has been recognized as being among Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN).
The Top 100 Awards celebrate the incredible accomplishments of Canada’s leading female executives who have raised their voices, overturned obstacles, empowered the voiceless and paved a path for the next generation.
“I found that the simple act of caring can separate a person from the pack. I attribute a lot of my success to this value,” Sutherland said.
In her role as board member of CHMA York and South Simcoe since November 2013, Sutherland has served on the Audit Committee and in June 2015 assumed the roles of Treasurer and Chair of the Audit Committee. Her enthusiasm and dedication have impacted the lives of the people served by CMHA.
“On behalf of CMHA and the CMHA board, we are delighted to congratulate Evelyn for this well-deserved and prestigious honour. She is an inspiration to all who work with her,” said Brian Fazackerley, board president, CMHA, York Region and South Simcoe Branch.
