Mental Health In Motion is back and this year we are going virtual. Learn why Joshua, who is a member of our Board of Directors, is in motion this year.
What is your connection to CMHA York Region and South Simcoe and Mental Health in Motion?
Currently I am a member of the board and a proud supporter/fundraiser!
Why are you participating in Mental Health in Motion?
Mental Health in Motion, in particular MOBYSS (Mobile York South Simcoe) are a huge reason why I got involved with CMHA York Region and South Simcoe in the first place. Having mental health services and supports reach the corners of our community is something I truly believe in.
Additionally, after the pandemic subsides, there will still be a ton of work to do in order to ensure that people get the support that they need. It is super important and vital for humanity to better ourselves and learn from our current experiences. I am proud to be a part of that effort. CMHA and Mental Health in Motion are essential in our community and the livelihood of the people within it.
Why do you think Mental Health in Motion is important/what value does it serve for our community?
In order to raise awareness and alter attitudes towards mental health, we need to create a gathering of similar minded people and reach out to our respective networks. In doing so, we can spread the word, break the mold and create a better world.
